Run With the Herd!
Christmas Choir and Orchestra Concerts
The Student Council is collecting new or gently used coats for for those in need within our local community. All shapes and sizes are welcome. A drop-off bin is now located in the lobby of the school through Friday. In addition, StuCo members will be in the front parking lot on Tuesday, 12/13, for those wanting to drop off coats from the convenience of their cars.
We’re also turning candy into cash for coats. Candy canes will continue to be sold during lunches through 12/13 for $1. Students may purchase candygrams to deliver to a friend or teacher or buy for themselves to enjoy during lunch. All proceeds will go towards purchasing coats and blankets for those in need. Thank you for your support!

Health Class: Opt-In Information
As part of our science and health curriculum, the ESTEEM curriculum will teach 6th and 7th grade students about the human reproductive system, abstinence, and human sexuality. Parents can preview the materials for these units at https://esteemjourney.com. A print copy of the curriculum is available at your child’s campus. Parents/Guardians may contact their school to schedule an appointment for viewing.
Parents must go to the Parent Self-Serve Portal at
https://frontline.tylerisd.org/selfserve/EntryPointHomeAction.do?parent=true
and complete the Health Opt-In Form.
Human sexuality education begins at home. You are your child’s primary educator and the most important influence on your child's health decisions. The ESTEEM lessons are designed to reinforce what you teach at home.
If you have questions about the ESTEEM curriculum, please email Hayley Skinner, Coordinator of Health and Physical Education at Hayley.Skinner@TylerISD.org.
