Principal Message Principal Message

Welcome, Beacon Families! As we step into the 2026–2027 school year, I’m excited to welcome each of you back to Beacon. Whether you’re returning or joining us for the first time, we’re grateful to have you as part of our school community.

At Beacon, we are deeply committed to building strong foundations for our youngest learners. Each day is designed to nurture curiosity, develop essential skills, and ignite a love of learning that will carry your child through their academic journey and beyond.

This year, we will continue to spark joy in literacy and numeracy through rich storytelling, imaginative play, and hands-on exploration. Our classrooms will be places where children find their voice, think creatively, and engage with ideas that stretch their understanding of the world.

Our dedicated staff is ready to create meaningful learning experiences that go far beyond the page. We believe learning should be joyful, empowering, and connected to real life—and that every child deserves to feel seen, heard, and inspired.

Strong schools are built on strong partnerships. Your involvement—whether at home, in the classroom, or at school events—makes a powerful difference. Together, we can cultivate a vibrant, supportive community where every child thrives.

Thank you for entrusting us with your child’s early learning journey. We can’t wait to witness the growth, wonder, and discovery that this year will bring.

Here’s to a year full of curiosity, creativity, and connection!

Principal

Annual Student Registration Annual Student Registration

An annual registration must be completed for all students currently enrolled in the Montesano School District. To update your student's information, log in to Skyward Family Access and click on “Annual Registration” beginning August 17, 2026. Information must be updated by August 23, 2026.

You will be able to see your child’s class placement in Skyward under "Schedule" once the registration process is complete.

The link to Skyward Family Access is located on the Montesano School District website at www.monteschools.org. Skyward will look different than before, as we have switched to the updated version of the program. This will not affect your ability to log in. Skyward access is also available via smart phone. If you had the previous Skyward app on your phone, please delete it and re-download it. You can search for Wsipc- Montesano School District. If you need Skyward assistance or do not know your login information, please email beaconskyward@monteschools.org or call the Beacon Elementary office at (360) 249-4528. If you do not have access to a computer, you may access one at Timberland Regional Library or at the Beacon office by appointment.

Child Nutrition Eligibility and Education Benefit (CNEEB) Child Nutrition Eligibility and Education Benefit (CNEEB)

Unlike previous years, the CNEEB (Child Nutrition Eligibility and Education Benefit) Application will not be a part of the annual registration. It is a separate tile on the home screen of your skyward account. This application is for those that would like to apply for Free and reduced-price meal benefits, Summer EBT (SUN Bucks) benefits (if enrolled in a NSLP/SBP school), and reduced fees for other programs and activities. While elementary breakfast and lunch will be free again this year (yay!), having families complete this application helps this program continue in future years.

Supply List Supply List

See our website for up-to-date school supply lists.

If buying supplies is a financial stretch this year, please let us know. We are happy to help.

TK & Kindergarten Family Connection Meetings TK & Kindergarten Family Connection Meetings

Welcome to Transition to Kindergarten(TK) and Kindergarten at Beacon Elementary School! The school year begins with parents and students meeting with our TK/Kindergarten teachers. This family connection meeting provides an opportunity to individually discuss each child’s strengths and needs so that families and teachers can work together to help our students be successful in school.

Family connection meetings will be held September 2-4. TK and Kindergarten students will not attend regular class on these days. The first regular day of school for TK and Kindergarten students is Tuesday, September 8.

Families will receive a separate email with details about scheduling a family connection meeting for their child soon.
