HUSKY HUSTLE INFO - Come out and support!

We are excited for our big Husky Hustle walk next Friday. It's always so much fun. Please note that parents and other supporters are invited to line the route in the neighborhood just south of school. Unless you are specifically signed up to volunteer with your child's teacher, do not walk with the class.

Flyers are being sent home this week with additional information on how friends and family can come out and support our students during the Husky Hustle. All are welcome to join us in the neighborhood where we walk. Please do not come to school unless you have connected with your student's teacher.

Have you turned your pledge form in yet?

Thank you to all our families that have returned their pledge forms!

Our goal is for 90% of forms to be returned and as of today we are at 79%. We only need 45 more forms to be returned so that we can meet our goal and have Mrs. Heerema either dye her hair, wear a blow up costume, or dress as Mario!

Mrs. Mayberry - Speech and Language Pathologist

Hi everyone! I’m Hannah Mayberry, Meadow Brook’s new Speech-Language Pathologist. I’ve been working in education for 8 years, and I’m so excited to start this next chapter with the Meadow Brook community. When I’m not working, I love spending time with my family, especially my 4-year-old son, reading a good book, and taking long trips down every aisle at Target. I’m looking forward to a fantastic school year ahead!

Mrs. Davis - General Education Social Worker

Hi, I’m Mrs. Davis, the new Gen-Ed social worker at Meadowbrook. My background is in medical and school social work. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, hiking with my husband and dog, running, and painting. I’m so excited to be here and to work with this community!

Hand2Hand

We would like to offer your student the opportunity to participate in a program called "Hand2Hand". We participated in this program last year and it benefitted many Meadow Brook families. This program helps provide a student with food for the weekends and is intended for families who currently may be experiencing a financial burden.

How it works: At the end of each week, students who are signed up for Hand2Hand will receive at least 12 food items in a bag. These items will be a combination of breakfast, snacks, and lunch or dinner. There is NO COST to participate! If you sign your student up to receive Hand2Hand, they will receive the weekend bag of food each week throughout the school year. Bags will be discreetly delivered to your child at school. (Please remind your child to bring their bags home for the weekend.)

If you feel like your child would benefit from this opportunity, please complete the linked form below or use the QR code. (Complete one form for each of your children.) If there comes a point when you no longer need assistance, alert the school office. It may take at least two weeks to receive your first bag.

Hand2Hand values the privacy of every family. Any personal information shared through this form will be kept confidential and used only for purposes related to the Hand2Hand program and your child’s participation. Information will only be shared with appropriate school and program staff as needed to coordinate services.
