SB 10 Classroom Displays Returning
Conroe ISD will begin reinstalling Ten Commandments displays in classrooms in accordance with Texas Senate Bill 10, which requires the displays in public elementary and secondary school classrooms.
Conroe ISD previously installed the displays and later removed them while a court order was in place. Following the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals’ April 21, 2026 decision upholding SB 10, the district is moving forward with reinstalling the required displays after guidance from the Office of the Attorney General.
Conroe ISD will continue to follow state law and applicable court orders as we monitor any future legal developments.

Student Leaders Help Shape Conroe ISD’s Future
Seventeen high school students representing all Conroe ISD feeder zones joined Dr. David Vinson on October 27 for the first Superintendent’s Student Advisory Panel (SSAP) meeting. Students shared ideas to strengthen their schools and discussed leading by example, serving others and turning ideas into action.
Their first initiative, “No One Outside the Circle,” encourages students to welcome new classmates, invite others to participate in campus activities and make room at the lunch table. The panel will meet throughout the school year to provide feedback, develop solutions and put leadership into practice.
The Care Campaign Returns
Conroe ISD’s Care Campaign returns November 16 through December 4, encouraging students, families, and staff to give what they can to help those in need.
This year’s effort will once again support the Montgomery County Food Bank, helping stock shelves for local families as we head into the holiday season.
Caring is more than a word. It is an action. We hope you’ll join us in making a difference in our community. Donate Today!
