From Principal Honeycutt
As we close another incredible school year at North Buncombe Middle School, I want to take a moment to thank our staff, students, families, and community for your support, partnership, and commitment to making this such a successful year.
This will be the final edition of Peek At The Week until next school year. I will send a summer update newsletter in early August with important back-to-school information, dates, and reminders.
As we finish the year, there is much to celebrate. Our students are showing tremendous growth on their End-of-Grade assessments, and we are excited to receive our official growth results in the coming weeks. Beyond academics, our students have excelled in athletics, the arts, Career and Technical Education, clubs, service opportunities, and countless other experiences that make middle school such a special time.
To our rising high school students, thank you for the impact you have made on our school. I hope your time at NBMS has been filled with meaningful memories, lasting friendships, and opportunities to learn and grow. We are proud of you and wish you the very best as you begin your next chapter in high school.
To our current 7th graders, we are excited to welcome you back as 8th graders and leaders of our school. You have an important role to play in setting the tone for our school culture, mentoring younger students, and continuing the traditions that make NBMS a great place to learn.
Thank you for a wonderful year. I hope each of you enjoys a safe, restful, and fun-filled summer with family and friends. We look forward to seeing everyone again in August as we begin another great year together.
Go Blackhawks!
Thanks,
Nicholas
