The CAS PTO would like to extend a huge thank you to all of you for your continued support, time, and energy! We couldn’t do it without you. We directly see the results of your hard work in the smiles of the children!

Family Bingo Night is back in person live in the CAS Gym and we need your help! We need your help gathering donations for our epic raffle prize baskets. Leftover holiday gifts? We'll take them! Want free promotion for a small business? We'll put your prize together in an enticing basket.

We also need a few more volunteers to assist our event chairs to help pull this together. Email caspto@gmail.com if you're interested and / or have donations. Look for registration to open in the new year.

Each holiday season, the PTO takes the opportunity to recognize the staff at CAS who are not the primary classroom teacher, but play a very important role at our school. This includes, crossing guards, classroom aides, specials’ teachers, office staff and custodians to name a few. Classroom coordinators will reach out separately regarding your primary classroom teacher.

Did your child love the half day bagels in November? Half Day Bagels are BACK for December. Pre order your Bagel Nosh bagel to bring home! Order your child a plain or rainbow bagel with butter or cream cheese to bring home for lunch and help the CAS PTO fundraise at the same time! Order now to bring home on December 23.

The MEF is busy finalizing our fall grant cycle, and we are so excited to share with you the amazing things in store for our schools. This giving season, we hope you will consider giving local and make a donation to the Madison Education Foundation (MEF). Your generous contributions allow us to fund great ideas that inspire educators and energize the academic and creative lives and social emotional health of students in Madison Public Schools.

Did you know that CAS has a courtyard? Unfortunately, during the COVID shutdown, our beautiful courtyard reading garden fell into disrepair. This year, the PTO will be working with the building to revitalize and rebuild this outdoor learning space for our children to enjoy. Our landscaping quotes are rolling in as we speak and soon we will be able to announce the grand plan and fundraising goals!

We are so excited to have parent volunteers back in the building! There are all sorts of ways you can volunteer to help, here are our immediate needs:

Lunch Volunteers Needed for Winter!

Thank you to all who have volunteered for lunch this Fall! Volunteering during lunch is a great way to see your children in their school day habitat! Parent volunteers assist in opening up lunch items, keeping the lunch lines moving, and ensuring the students clean up after themselves. Lunch begins at 11:15am and ends at 12:45pm. Just a few slots left for winter sign-up.

FunFest Chairs

Do you love yard games, cotton candy and children’s laughter?! Then this role is for you! Looking for 1-2 additional chairs to join this amazing team! You will coordinate food trucks, work with inflatable slide and cotton candy vendor, organize volunteers, plan yard games and more. Planning starts in February for this May 19 event.
