We are excited to once again host the District 14 Elementary School debate tournament this Saturday! We have over 200 elementary school students working hard getting ready to debate as our students are preparing to coach and judge these young debaters. Please check Operoo to sign the permission slip for your students to attend. A pizza lunch will be provided.

Next Tuesday is our first annual 6th and 7th Grade Science Fair showcasing the hard work our students have been putting in over the last year. This event is open to all our families and will be from 5:30-6:30pm in the cafeteria. A panel of judges will give feedback and give out awards.

Yesterday we were proud to have a ribbon cutting and dedication of our newest mural, "Athletics and Activism" which decorates the wall outside of our gym. Featuring a diverse array of athletes from ancient history to the modern day, the mural showcases the many ways that athletics and activism have interacted throughout history. After the dedication, our staff learned about the details in the mural by participating in a scavenger hunt which every MS 50 student will get a chance to complete in the coming weeks. We hope you check out the completed mural the next time you're at the building!
