We had a great week of Read Across America activities! Every day was a new theme! There were many guest readers across the building, and the highlight of the week was the Book Exchange where students picked out free books to take home (Thank you PTO). Students also enjoyed the reading train (where the whole school takes time to read together). Check out our Twitter and Facebook pages to see more!

Also, enjoy the video of our BF staff reading a classic Dr. Seuss book!

In late February, third graders from Mrs. Shackleton's class and Mrs. Schmidt's class worked with Mrs. Muzi to have a Skype session with our sister school in Taiwan! Students sang songs, asked and answered questions, and made a craft together! This was a wonderful opportunity to learn about different cultures!

Our second graders did a GREAT job on their concert this month! Many thanks to the second grade teachers and related arts staff who supported the students. Special thanks to Mrs. LaFlamme and Mrs. Skorupa who were the music and art directors. Follow them both on Twitter at @laflammemusic and @Art_Rm_Skorupa!!

This year, our Coloring Contest winner was Riya in first grade! Enjoy your T-shirt!

Our Pot of Gold Challenge winners were:

• Allen in Preschool! Enjoy your T-shirt!
• Sophia in Kindergarten and Savannah in First Grade! Have fun painting Mr. Meurer's head!
• Paige in Second Grade! Have fun shaving Mr. Rude's head!
• Ana in Third Grade! Have fun shaving Mr. Gallagher's head!

Many thanks to all who participated! We raised over $400 from these two events and will add this to our team total!
