A Message From the BMES Admin Team
Dear Barlow Mountain Families,
One of the highlights of last week was our first whole school meeting of the year, led by our newly elected fifth-grade student council. It was great to see our Bobcats in action as we continue to practice cooperation and reinforce our Bobby CARES values.
We have an exciting season ahead! Please be sure to check below for details on our upcoming Halloween Spirit Week, Halloween Celebration, and Fall STEAM Night.
With so many activities on the horizon, we want to thank the many visitors and volunteers who support our school, whether assisting in the library, chaperoning field trips, or joining classroom celebrations. As a reminder, please help us maintain student confidentiality whenever you are in the building:
Do not share observations or personal information regarding other students.
Do not take or post photos of other children on social media without explicit parental consent.
Please review the RPS Volunteer Confidentiality Agreement for full district guidelines.
As we look forward to welcoming families to upcoming events, please remember to complete the BMES Visitor Form before arriving and have your photo ID ready. Our new School Security Officer, Mike, is diligently checking IDs to ensure our school remains safe and secure. Thank you for your patience and cooperation as Mike gets to know our community, and our thanks to Mike for his commitment to keeping us all safe.

Register for Parent-Child Book Club (Grades 3-5)
We’re excited to kick off our first Parent-Child Book Club of the year with The World According to Humphrey by Betty G. Birney!
Each participating family will receive one free copy of the book to read in advance. Registration closes Fri 10/23.
5th Grade Movie Night

Join us for a fun 5th Grade Movie Night featuring How to Train Your Dragon!
Come enjoy a movie, popcorn, candy, and a water while relaxing with friends and family.

Volunteer at the Library
Helping out at the library during your child's class is one of Barlow's favorite volunteer opportunities and ways to connect with your kids while they are in school.
Volunteer at the Barlow Garden
Wednesdays Help plant, weed, and harvest this fall while connecting with Barlow families. No experience needed—just come enjoy our zen space (with snacks and tunes!).
