Hello Charette Families,

This week, our administration wants to share a quick note of motivation: growth comes in many forms, and every step our students take—big or small—is worth celebrating. We are inspired by the resilience and creativity we see in our classrooms every day. Our team is committed to providing support, encouragement, and guidance so that each student can reach their full potential. Remember, education is not just about grades—it’s about growth, curiosity, and discovering one’s strengths.

As we support this growth, a few important reminders for families: progress reports were provided to students on Friday—please ask your child to share theirs with you, review it together, sign it, and return the signed copy to school. In addition, as the weather gets cooler, we’ll have long-sleeve T-shirts, crewnecks, and hooded sweatshirts available for purchase. Please remember that only Charette uniform sweatshirts may be worn during the school day. Students needing items can check in with Corey for assistance.

We also want to highlight the importance of fueling learning with healthy meals. Our lunch program offers hot meals, sandwiches, and salads daily, along with plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables. Students bringing lunch from home are welcome to use the microwaves available. A good breakfast and lunch truly set the tone for focus and success in the classroom!

Warmly💕,

Mrs. Martin & Dr. Lyons

A Peek Into ILP Class🔽

In ILP Class, our 11th graders are learning about what type of learners they are! The VARK model identifies four main learning styles: Visual, Auditory, Reading/Writing, and Kinesthetic.

The VARK questionnaire helps students discover their preferred learning style and offers study strategies that match it, enabling them to learn more effectively and confidently.
Visual – Learn best through pictures, charts, diagrams, and color coding.
Auditory – Learn best by listening, discussing, and explaining ideas out loud.
Reading/Writing – Learn best by taking notes, reading textbooks, and writing summaries.
Kinesthetic – Learn best through hands-on activities, movement, and real-life examples.

We were lucky to have two special visitors this week:

Attendance Matters at Charette!

Students who attend school regularly have been shown to achieve at higher levels than students who do not have regular attendance. A missed school day is a lost opportunity for students to learn. Chronic student absence reduces even the best teacher's ability to provide learning opportunities. It is vital that you encourage healthy attendance habits for your children. If you have any questions, please contact us.
