Participation counts can impact Domain 3 Closing the Gaps Academic Achievement component. Should the participation status for the all students group or any student group fall below 95 percent, rounded to the whole number, the denominator used for calculating the Closing the Gaps Academic Achievement component is adjusted to include the necessary number of assessments to meet the 95 percent threshold.
❓ Who should have TEAL Accountability Access?
Texas Education Agency (state.tx.us)
The TEA Login Application Help link outlines roles in obtaining access.
❓ Will there be a stand-alone STAAR field test next year?
A stand-alone field test for STAAR is scheduled for February 5- 9, 2024. More information regarding the stand-alone field test will be provided later this year.
Field Tested Subjects: 3-8 RLA, Eng. I and Eng. II
The gradated points methodology uses 0-4 points to provide further differentiation for groups demonstrating growth but not yet achieving target performance. It also allows 4 points for those achieving the long-term 2037- 2038 target.
❓ What are the sunsetting limits for CCMR?
The January Updates to Preliminary A–F Framework describes limiting the percentage of graduates who only meet CCMR criteria via a sunsetting IBC to five graduates, or
20 percent, of graduates, whichever is higher. Does this mean a 20 percent cap on the total sunsetting IBCs earned?
The agency proposes limiting the percentage of graduates who only meet CCMR criteria via a sunsetting IBCs to five graduates or 20 percent of the total annual graduates, whichever is higher.
Example: Texas High School has 200 annual graduates. 50 graduates earned ONLY a sunsetting IBC as their CCMR credit. With the limit, Texas High School would receive credit for 40 of these graduates (20 percent of the total annual graduates), and ten of these graduates would not generate CCMR credit. This limit would be applied within Student Achievement and School Progress, Part B: Relative Performance and would not be applied within Closing the Gaps.

❓ What is TPRS? Is it the same as TAPR?
The Texas Performance Reporting System (TPRS) integrates state and federal reporting requirements into a single reporting system that can be viewed at the campus, district, region, and state level. As the most comprehensive reporting system published by TEA, TPRS provides additional performance reports, results, and indicators for student groups not previously reported on state accountability data tables, the Texas Academic Performance Reports (TAPR), or the School Report Card. TPRS is the enhanced online version of TAPR. It has been recently updated with Remote vs. In-Person Data. TEAL Accountability application will show you unmasked data.
The TPRS Glossary provides definitions, describes methodologies, and lists sources for each tab in the TPRS system.

The leadership of this individual will directly contribute to the academic achievement of over 1,200 districts and 5.5 million Texas students. We are looking for a leader who is a highly effective communicator and collaborator who can drive results. The application is available here; applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.

CCMR Verifier Open May 24- June 21
The CCMR Verifier provides districts an opportunity to verify the accuracy of their CCMR data and, if needed, submit official documentation to correct data. CCMR indicators determined by TSDS PEIMS submissions are not eligible for corrections, and therefore, will not be shown. The CCMR Verifier will contain data for 2021-2022 annual graduates and non-graduating 12th graders.
CCMR Tracker Stage 1: Released March 31
CCMR Tracker (Part 2) Release (2022-23 grade 9-12 students)- July
Stage 1: March 31
- CCMR indicators submitted via PEIMS through the 2021–22 school year
- OnRamps and TSIA results through 2021–22 school year
- SAT, ACT, AP, IB and level I/II certificate results through the 2020–21 school year
Stage 2: July 2023
SAT, ACT, AP, IB and level I/II certificates updated through 2021-22 school year
Background
The CCMR Tracker is a tracking tool within the TEA Login (TEAL) Accountability application. This tool provides districts with an early preview of CCMR status for students who are in grades 9–12 during the 2022–23 school year. The CCMR Tracker contains lagging data as is detailed in the chart below. While the Tracker contains students who were in grades 9–12 on the 2022–23 PEIMS snapshot, the 2023 version does not contain results from school year 2022–23 as those data have yet to be reported.
Indicators are credited if earned within date ranges provided below for students beginning with grade 9 enrollment. TSI assessments are the only CCMR indicator that may be earned prior to grade 9. Indicators reported upon graduation (IEP and workforce readiness graduates and special education graduate with advanced diploma plan) do not appear in the Tracker.
Action
Corrections cannot be submitted to TEA; this report is for informational purposes only. If districts find errors, they are encouraged to work with testing vendors to make corrections prior to the student’s graduation. TSDS PEIMS data are final and cannot be corrected.
The 2023 CCMR Verifier, which will provide districts an opportunity to verify CCMR data given to the agency by outside testing entities for 2021–22 annual graduates and non-graduating 12th graders, will be released in the TEAL Accountability application in July.
If you have questions about the Tracker, please contact the Performance Reporting Division at (512) 463-9704 or performance.reporting@tea.texas.gov.
Military Ready DD Form 4
The securely uploaded DD Form 4 document will be the only form of documentation accepted to document military enlistment for CCMR credit and will only be accepted via the process outlined above. If a district cannot obtain the DD Form 4 or does not upload the form during the official submission process, military enlistment credit will not be awarded. A DD4 form is attached below.
❓ Where can I find resources related to the College, Career, and Military Readiness component?
The Performance Reporting Resources webpage has a tab dedicated to College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR) resources. Visit this tab under the Frequently Asked Questions Documents section to learn more about CCMR data sources and how CCMR in accountability and the CCMR Outcomes Bonus differ. You may also view related webinar recordings under the Webinar Recordings section.
