Family And Community Engagement

We would like to introduce our Family and Community Engagement (FACE) liaison, Ms. Heather Lynette King. If you or your family is in need of resources or support or would like to make any suggestions, please contact Ms. King at hlking2@aldineisd.org so she can better support you!

The Harris Center is operating the 24/7 statewide COVID-19 mental health support line launched by Texas Health and Human Services. The support line offers trauma-informed support and psychological first aid to those experiencing stress and anxiety related to COVID-19.

Are You Facing Eviction?

Many families are struggling financially due to the pandemic and are receiving eviction notices from their landlords for not being able to pay their rent. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has issued an eviction moratorium to stop evictions and prevent the spread of COVID-19. This eviction moratorium started on September 4 and will last until December 31. Click here to find information about this moratorium. You may contact the FACE Department if you need more information.

Do you need Internet?

Whichever learning model students choose or if there is a need to return to all virtual learning, our families need accessible internet at home. However, not everyone has access to home internet service.

We have compiled a list of several internet providers and wireless companies that have announced measures to offer free WiFi and other technology services during this time. Access to free and low-cost internet is located here
