Sentinel Snapshot

Steilacoom High School FCCLA members joined fellow Region 3 Chapters in Lacey, WA for the Fall Regional Leadership Meeting. Students participated in hands-on leadership workshops, team-building activities, and networking opportunities with peers from across the region. The event helped students strengthen their communication, teamwork, and leadership skills as they prepare for upcoming STAR Events and community projects this year. Encourage your student to join a club or CTE organization! Getting better, every day. - Jake

Homecoming week is one of the most exciting times of the year at Steilacoom High School, and we encourage all students and families to join in the celebration! From spirited dress-up days and athletic events to the big game and dance, Homecoming is more than just fun it’s an opportunity for students to connect, show pride in their school, and strengthen their sense of belonging within the Sentinel community. When students participate in these traditions, they build confidence, create lasting memories, and experience the joy of being part of something larger than themselves. We look forward to seeing our Sentinels and their families come together to make this year’s Homecoming one to remember!

We are fortunate to have many kind people in our community who are working together to give food for Thanksgiving to families in our district who need help. Usually, the food includes ham or chicken instead of turkey. Please know that you will have to cook some of the food at your home.

Families will need to pick up their food at Steilacoom High School on November 21st, during the school day. Each family will get one meal.

If you need assistance, please send the following information to your student's school counselor:

• Name(s) of parents or guardians in your family
• Name of one SHS student in your family
• Best daytime phone number
• Number of adults and children in your home

Supplies are limited (first come, first serve). Please reply as soon as possible if you want to participate.
