We hope you enjoyed your 3-day weekend. It is hard to believe we are in the 2nd semester already! This is the beginning of our testing season. We have our JISD Middle of the Year (MOY) assessments for all students taking place right now. They will be completed by the end of this month. Next month, we will have our STAAR Interim Assessments for our 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders. We will also be starting TELPAS testing for our Emergent Bilingual (EB) students in early March. Before we know it, STAAR testing will be here in April. If you have any questions about any assessments your child(ren) will be taking, please reach out to us.
Thank you for your patience at arrival and dismissal. We have a lot of JETS that are car riders and walkers, and safety is our
#1 priority.
In order to make sure that these busy times go smoothly and safely, we want to make sure everyone knows the procedures for arrival and dismissal times.
Doors open for Morning Drop-Off at 6:45 am, through the cafeteria. There is only one lane for parent drop-off in the morning. The lane closest to the curb is the lane for morning drop-off.
DIsmissal is at 2:50 pm, and car riders are dismissed through the cafeteria. There are two lanes for car rider parent pick-up. The two lanes closest to the curb are used for pick up. Please be patient and courteous to each other, as there is only one entrance.
Finally, please make sure that you are not blocking any intersections, walkways, or crossroads. We want everyone to be able to get where they need to go in an orderly and safe manner. Many students walk home and need these spaces to be open and clear. This includes the intersection of Misty Ridge and Frontier Ridge.
