New Beginnings at Belmonte STEAM Academy
Belmonte STEAM Academy New Beginnings for September
Dear Belmonte Bulldog Families,
I would like to thank all of you for your support as we have transitioned all of our students and families to the Belmonte S.T.E.A.M. Academy. We are off to a great start and we could not do this without all of the support and positive energy from our families and staff. We have many new staff members as well as myself as the new principal. I appreciate all of the overwhelming support. We had a successful second grade step up day. Our P.T.O. has provided us with a Prismatic Magic Kindness Quest Assembly. Our administration began our monthly Town Meeting to review positive behaviors and provide information about how we will be looking for positive role model students throughout our upcoming month.
On Wednesday, August 23rd, Principal, Dr. Lueke, Vice Principal, Ms. DiPesa, and our Dean Ms. Renee Doucette along with the student leaders from the BSA provided our incoming second graders with a building tour during their visit to the Belmonte STEAM Academy. It was great to see our incoming second graders and their families tour their new school. It was especially nice to see of our student leader volunteers serve as tour guides.
We were excited at the opportunity to provide our second graders a chance to visit their new school prior to the first day. We were also proud of our young student leaders that came out to welcome the second graders. They are obviously proud to be part of their school community and actively engaged in trying to establish a positive culture

Town Meeting for Students
We had an introductory town meeting with students by grade levels at the Belmonte STEAM Academy. The meeting was centered around Respect, Responsibility, and Safety.
This month we are focusing on students showing respect towards themselves, others and the school community. Our goal is whole child instruction and "improving academic performance while enhancing perspective taking, empathy and kindness as well as fostering complex problem-solving skills."

Kindness Quest
Prismatic Magic school assembly is all about promoting caring and kindness, and it’s appropriate for any age. Your students participated in a forty-minute interactive laser adventure that explores community and friendship. The focus was on character education and foundational qualities, our presentation combines tunes with teamwork to emphasize awareness, empathy, and compassion.
