Dear Camelot Scholars and Families,

Next week, we celebrate National School Counseling Week, a time to recognize the incredible impact school counselors have on students' lives. At Camelot, we are grateful for Mrs. Bryant (aka Mrs. B) and the work she does to support our students in their academic success, emotional well-being, and future career exploration.

School counselors play a vital role in helping students navigate challenges, set goals, and build the skills they need to thrive. Whether they are teaching coping strategies, helping students resolve conflicts, or guiding them toward their dreams, school counselors are an essential part of our school community.

Throughout the week, we will be learning more about the ways school counselors make a difference during our morning announcements. We encourage students and families to join in the celebration by writing a note or card of appreciation to Mrs. B or sharing a personal story about how a school counselor has impacted your life.

National School Counseling Week, sponsored by the American School Counselor Association (ASCA), highlights the importance of school counselors in fostering student achievement and well-being. Let’s take a moment next week to thank Mrs. B for all she does to support our Camelot Knights!

Warmly,

Brooke Perry

Hello Multilingual Families! Hello Multilingual Families!

Students who are receiving Multilingual (ML) services will be taking the WIDA test February 4th-February 28th. Your student will only test for 4 days in that window and only for a portion of the day. The WIDA Test measures your child's academic language skills in listening, reading, speaking and writing.

Please make sure your student is well rested and nourished during this testing window. Last year, we had the most growth out of our entire district in the writing domain and for the most students exiting the ML program. We can't do this without your support. So please encourage your student to try their best so we will see them show their best on the WIDA tests.

Thank you for all that you do. Please reach out with any questions to akondraytev@fwps.org
