Homework

Below you will find a copy of our nightly homework schedule. Homework is optional, but is highly encouraged. It is a great idea to find a safe place to keep the half sheets that come home with students each week. Please reach out to your child's teacher with any questions!

High Frequency Words

In order to help with practicing our high frequency words, we thought it would be helpful to note which words we have already covered in class. We will continue to add learned words to the list throughout the year!

Kindergarten Reminders

  • Every kindergarten class goes to the library at some point on Tuesday. Please make sure you are sending your child's book back in their backpack so they can check out a new book each week. We will start by keeping books at school for the first few weeks.
  • Please make sure your child has ONE DRY snack and a water bottle every day. Please try to keep your child's snack separate from their lunch. Please remember at school ONLY water is allowed in a student's water bottle.
  • Every kindergarten class is allergy aware. Please do NOT send products with nuts in them for your child's snack. Thank you for your help with this!
  • Please make sure your child is bringing their red take-home folder to school everyday. Also, please make sure you are emptying it each night.
  • If you haven't already, please send in a pair of headphones for your child to use with their Chromebook throughout the year. They will stay at school and be returned in May.

Lunch With Your Child

Please use the button below to sign up to have lunch with your child and eat on the stage in the cafeteria. Due to limited space on the stage, we must limit each parent/guardian to signing up only once per week. Please check in with the front office before you head to the cafeteria. Ms. Flores will also be able to assist you with any questions you may have about the process of lunch at Baker.
