Quantum Family Connection

Quantum FamilyConnectionWeek of March 10, 2025

Hello Quantum Families,

At Quantum, we are committed to embedded cross-grade level choice-based enrichment Explore and Elements classes. This is part of the original Quantum design based inspired by the work of Sir Ken Robinson. Explore class is trying something new and Elements is a deeper dive. Your Element is the intersection of your passion and your talent. With Explore and Elements, we give students access to the experiences and skills they wouldn’t normally have at school, under the guidance and support of our incredible classroom teachers.

On Friday we had a special assembly to review our Explore and Element expectations.

Students are expected to be safe, respectful, responsible, and scholarly and show our Quantum Values at all times while in Explore/Elements classes. These are times where our values really shine!

We expect students to come on time to class, with a good attitude ready to try something new! We are conducting tardy sweeps every day this week and next week and parents will be notified if their student is late to class and informed of the consequences. Please talk to your Quark about making sure they arrive on time to class.

Our Explore offerings this round are: Friendship Bracelets, Chess, Minecraft Collaboration League, String Art, smArt Festival, Interactive ASL(Student Led) Beginning Origami, Spring Play Set Design, and Dance and Cheer!

Report Cards Report Cards

Check the mail or our Quark’s backpack for your Quark’s report card. Report cards are a great opportunity to talk with your student about their accomplishments this Trimester and where they still need to grow. Celebrate their successes and make a plan for continued achievement and scholarly behavior. Reach out to your Quark’s teachers if you have any questions or concerns.

PTA PTA

I want to take this opportunity to thank our current PTA Executive Board. They do an excellent job organizing events and fundraising for our school. Members of the Executive Board can only serve for two years in one position. We will be voting on the new Board member ratification for the 2025-2026 school year at the Association meeting on Tuesday, March 11th at 5:30. View the Quantum PTA Agenda and join the meeting via Googlemeet or in person.

There is a PTA Fundraiser this Wednesday, March 12th, from 3 pm- 9 pm at Chuck E Cheese at 1126 W. Valley Parkway. Quantum PTA will receive 20% of all event sales and students will also bring home a game card for 10 free play tokens!
