November 25-27- Thanksgiving Break

Upcoming:

December 10th- Winter Concert- grades KG-2

Oakwood Families,

I can’t believe it’s November already! With Thanksgiving around the corner, this is a perfect time to reflect on all the things we’re thankful for.

We will continue to focus on our ISEE values—Integrity, Safety, Engagement, and Excellence throughout the school year. I encourage families to continue these conversations at home. Whether it’s showing kindness or simply doing the right thing, these little actions go a long way. Our hope is that students continue to carry these values outside of school.

This month we have something exciting to celebrate! Oakwood took first place in the Oshkosh West Homecoming float competition! Thank you to all the families who helped make this possible! We are excited to celebrate this accomplishment with our students with a popcorn celebration in November! It's a fun way to recognize our school spirit and the wonderful community we have at Oakwood.

As I reflect on my time at Oakwood so far, I’m so grateful for the opportunity to be part of this wonderful school community. Every day, our students remind me of what makes Oakwood a great place to be. I’m truly thankful for our students, staff, and families who make Oakwood what it is!

I hope you all enjoy some time with your loved ones at the end of this month and have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Cooler weather is on the way!

When the temperature is between 50-59 degrees, students need to be wearing long-sleeved tops or a jacket to go outside for recess.

Once we start to see temps dip below 50 degrees, students need a coat for outside recess. Kids may want to start wearing a hat/gloves as well.

Please make sure your child brings all necessary items to school with them each day.

Dear Oakwood Families,

With our ongoing construction this year, we're looking to add more equipment and fun activities to keep students active and engaged. We've put together a few recess wish list items that we're hoping to add to our collection to give students more opportunities to play, explore, and enjoy their time outside!

We appreciate the continued support from our Oakwood families as we make the most of our temporary spaces this school year!
