Reaching Higher at Greenville County Schools! At Fork Shoals School, we are celebrating GCS as one of the first school districts in South Carolina to earn the 90-90-90 milestone by surpassing 90% in all three major achievement areas: reaching a 92.2% Graduation Rate for the Class of 2026, 90.5% of the graduating class earning College/Career Ready status, and 98.9% of Greenville County schools rated Excellent, Good, or Average on the State Report Card. Parent Teacher Conferences

Teachers have been or will be contacting parents about signing up for fall parent teacher conferences. Teachers will be sharing student progress thus far, goals for the year, and test data that is available. Don’t miss this connection opportunity!

Birthdays and Other Parties (page 24)

Lunch treats (may NOT include balloons or other party supplies) for birthdays and other occasions must be pre-arranged with the teacher. These activities should be conducted during the lunch period.

Deliveries such as balloons, flowers, etc., may NOT be sent to school. Invitations for a birthday party may only be handed out by students if every child in the class is receiving them.

Class parties are allowed for Winter Break and End of the Year. Students will be permitted to bring

Valentines and there will be a time to exchange Valentines, but there will not be a Valentines Day party. Treats are permitted at lunchtime.

All treats for birthdays, parties, lunch, etc. must be commercially prepared.
