Dear Henry Families,

I am looking forward to a fun and meaningful week at Henry Elementary. We have two special events that bring us together as a school community—Wednesday’s Global Day of Play and Friday’s Community Read-In Day. In addition, we have reached the 100th day of school tomorrow, which is hard to believe! It promises to be a wonderful week for our students and staff.

Our school is excited to participate in the Global Day of Play, on February 4, with one hour of joyful, unstructured, screen-free play. Students are invited to bring a favorite game, puzzle, or small non-electronic toy to help spark creativity, collaboration, and imagination. We can’t wait to see learning come alive through play! Please see more from your child's classroom teacher in their weekly communication.

We are so excited to host our annual Henry Community Read-In Day this Friday, February 6th! We have a wonderful lineup of invited readers ready to visit our classrooms and share the magic of books with our students. This event is a highlight of our year, connecting our students with Parkway administrators and Ballwin community leaders through the power of storytelling. Ask your student on Friday afternoon to share what they learned about inclusivity and how it connected to their read aloud!

NEW AMBUSH GAME DATE - March 1, 2026!

Information:

The Henry Harmonizers’ “God Bless America” performance has been moved to March 1, 2026 (1:50 performance time). This is an optional opportunity, but it is always a fun, memorable event! ALL of our Henry families & staff are invited.

THE BEST NEWS - If you purchased tickets for the original game day, 1/24, those tickets will be transferred to this new game date - no need to purchase new tickets! Our updated tickets will be sent out the same way - to the email/number with which you purchased the originals. The updated tickets will be sent the week before March 1.

TO PURCHASE ADDITIONAL TICKETS - Tickets are $25 per person. All people attending need a ticket, except those under the age of 2. 26-3-01 Henry Harmonizers - St. Louis Ambush

Tasks:

1. I have a Henry family that is unable to attend the new date - reach out to Mrs. Plesia if you are interested in having those 2 tickets transferred to you, and I will connect you with that family.

2. If you are interested in carpooling (to save on the $15/car parking fee), consider talking with other families (or other Henry families that might consider attending).

3. Please DO send me a quick email to let me know you are coming (after you place your order)! The arena only lets me know the number of tickets sold, but I will not have access to names.

Camp FunTastic Day Camp or Sports Camp is an amazing summer opportunity for your children! Due to construction at Green Trails and across the district, camp will be held at Wren Hollow Elementary this summer.

New this year: free bus transportation!
Buses will leave Green Trails at 8:15 a.m. and return students to Green Trails after camp, leaving Wren Hollow at 3:00 p.m. each day. Students attending camp from anywhere in the district are welcome to come to Green Trails to ride the bus.

Registration opens Sunday, February 1 at 11:00 a.m.
