A Letter From Principal McGee
Welcome Back!
As I begin my second year as principal, I am filled with gratitude and excitement for the year ahead. Last year was a tremendous year for our students and our school, and we have so much to celebrate.
During the 2025–26 school year, our school earned the highest performance grade in our school’s history! We moved from a “C” grade to a “B” grade and exceeded overall student growth for the first time ever. These accomplishments are a tremendous reflection of the hard work, dedication, and partnership of our students, staff, and families.
We are incredibly proud of what our students have accomplished. We watched them rise to challenges, work hard, grow academically, and achieve things that made us incredibly proud. These successes belong first and foremost to our students, but they also reflect the unwavering support of our families, the dedication of our teachers and staff, and the strength of our entire community.
Thank you for partnering with us and for trusting us with what matters most—your children. Your encouragement, involvement, and support make a meaningful difference every day, and we are grateful for all you do to help our students succeed.
While we are proud of where we are, we also know that success is not a finish line. This year, we will continue building on the strong foundation we have created. We will challenge our students academically, support them as they grow socially and personally, and continue looking for ways to make our school an even better place to learn, grow, and belong.
Our goal is simple: every student should feel known, supported, challenged, and proud of who they are and what they can accomplish.
We may not be the biggest school, but we have something special. We know one another. We look out for one another. Our school is an important part of this community, and I believe our greatest strength is the partnership between our school and the families we serve.
As we begin this new school year, I encourage you to stay connected with us, celebrate your child’s successes, ask questions when you have them, and continue reminding your child that their teachers and school community are here to support them every step of the way.
I am honored to serve as your principal, and I am looking forward to another great year together. We are proud of what we accomplished last year, grateful for the people who helped make it possible, and even more excited about where we are going.
Welcome back! Let’s make this our best year yet!
Sincerely,
Jamal T. McGee
Principal
