Academy Announcements

As promised, it's the last week of school for the 2023-2024 school year! Inside and out, it truly feels like time for summer break...that is right after these 3 remaining school days!!! Here's some final updates that are sure to make you smile and reflect on the great year we've had!

The 5th Grade Promotion Ceremony was incredible. The weather held out for a perfect day on the field. The graduates looked so happy and ready for the next chapter of their school careers. It's bittersweet as we say goodbye (for now) to a great group of kids. I sure hope they come back and visit us! These past 6 years with them went by way too quickly!
Thank you to all the volunteers and staff that made this event possible as well as the 5th grade Fun Day! It truly takes a village.
The Kindergarten Here I Come event went great at the Adams Building this past Thursday. Thank you to Mrs. West, Ms. Glavin & Ms. Rosemond as well as our AAPC officers who met so many of the new additions to the Academy family.
The All-Town Track and Field Meet was amazing, we had students compete from all over Weymouth. Academy defended its title and brought home the Championship! Special thank you to Mrs. Tuplin and the Academy Health and Wellness committee on a successful event.
The final ROAR Assembly will be on Monday, June 17, on the field, As always sunblock, hats, small sitting towels are a good idea for this time of year!.
Our 5th Grade Band students performed beautifully last Thursday night at Chapman!!! Great job kiddos, they have come so far! It was fun to watch (and bop) them up on the beautiful Chapman stage!
Our school data teams met this past week and reviewed all the students from K-5 as well as looked at areas of great growth and areas to grow for next year. The results were very uplifting. Remember to keep reading all summer long...we want to keep those skills sharp!
Thursday, June 20th, is a half day of school with dismissal at 11:50AM. Being our last day of the school year, everything needs to go home for the summer! Report Cards will be passed on on Thursday for the final term!
Wednesday, June 19, the school is closed in observance of the Juneteenth Holiday.
Bus applications are due ASAP for SY24-25. Don't delay! Click here and fill them out today!!!

It's the final 3 letters on the Alphabet Countdown!!! Let's finish strong...ACADEMY STRONG!

Mr. Higgins

It's going to be a warm week-please dress for outdoor weather. Refillable water bottles and sun coverage are always a good idea!
