Mrs. Perry's Paw-spective
Good Afternoon SBCE Community,
We have had a fantastic week full of so much fun and learning at SBCE! We kicked off the week by wearing blue for bullying prevention month, hosted Orbit Earth Expo for our 2nd and 4th graders, and have our family Math Festival tonight.
Our Pre-K has also been celebrating all week long for Georgia Pre-K week with various activities and events planned. We have painted acorns, read books with Board President McCabe, had animal visitors from Autrey Mill Nature Preserve, and so much more!
Yesterday, I had the privilege of spending the day with a 4th grade student who acted as our Principal for a Day. We had the best day getting a real life behind the scenes snippet of being a principal. He participated in our safety drill and subsequent safety team meeting, read with Pre-K, observed several classrooms, did the afternoon announcements, and so much more!
We have an upcoming 3 day weekend and I hope everyone enjoys the extra day with your families. Stay dry and safe in the predicted weather!
Looking forward to seeing everyone at our upcoming SBCE Fall Festival on the 18th!
With Bobcat Pride,
Ashley Perry

Kid Chess
Kid Chess has been Atlantaβs most popular after-school enrichment club since 1998. The program meets at State Bridge Elementary on Thursdays. We send multiple coaches (on average of 5) to keep a uniquely low student teacher ratio, which guarantees level appropriate instruction from true-beginners to advanced players. For details or to register call (770) 575-5802 or go to Kidchess.com.
