The Wallin Way Weekly Newsletter
Friday, January 30th
Good Evening K9 Families,
What a wonderful week it’s been! We kicked things off on Monday with eLearning, and our students did a fantastic job navigating a second day of remote learning. It was so great to welcome everyone back into the building on Tuesday there was so much energy, excitement, and meaningful learning happening in classrooms throughout the week. Students were engaged, focused, and clearly happy to be back together learning in person.
We also have a quick reminder from our tech specialist: if your child’s Chromebook is broken or not working properly, please do not attempt to fix it at home. Our tech specialist is able to take care of repairs at school, so there is no need to try to fix it on your own.
We hope you have a wonderful weekend, and we look forward to another great week ahead!

School Information
Attendance and Transportation Reminders
We kindly ask all families to notify both the classroom teacher and the main office if your student will be absent for any reason. Clear communication helps us ensure accurate attendance records and maintain a safe, organized school environment.
Additionally, if there are any changes to your child’s transportation plans—such as switching from a bus rider to a car rider—please inform the main office directly. Our office staff will relay the information to the appropriate teacher.
Lastly, for the safety and efficiency of our drop-off procedure, please pull all the way forward in the car line and have students exit the vehicle on the side of the school.
Thank you for helping us keep everything running smoothly!
Pick Up and Drop Off Reminders
Morning Drop Off
For the safety of all students, we kindly ask that families do not park at Ira Jones during morning drop-off. Instead, please use the designated car line, which is designed to keep traffic moving safely and efficiently.
To help maintain a steady flow, we also ask that drivers remain in their vehicles at all times during drop-off. Following these procedures ensures a safe and smooth start to the day for everyone.
Afternoon Pick Up
Please remember to turn off your car while waiting to pick up your student after school. Running cars pose a safety risk for students and teachers walking up and down the car lines, and it's also important to reduce the fumes in the air for everyone’s health. Thank you for helping us keep our school environment safe and healthy!
