Show Your Library Love
Parents, Teachers, and Students
Prom was a huge success, and we're grateful to all of you for making it a safe and enjoyable night to remember. One week to go before Spring Break and we have plenty going on to keep students engaged.
ASVAB testing is Tuesday, April 8 for registered students in Room 1120.
Also, in celebration of School Library Month and this week being National Library Week, we have some fun activities in store for all Bobcats.
Check out or renew a book before Spring Break and be entered into a drawing for a special treat, participate in our scavenger hunt, signup for a public library card, enter the bookmark contest, and a special Friday event of reading with our local therapy dogs! We hope all students enjoy the resources and fun that can be found in the library.
Bobcats in Action
Earlier this year, our librarian secured a grant from the Foundational for Educational Excellence to expand our Monarch Butterfly Habitats and install a multipurpose StoryWalk outside our cafeteria. This weekend students began the project by planting the flower beds and cleaning up the existing habitat. Just look at all those caterpillars!
The Regional High School Art Show awarded several Bobcats for their inspired creations!
Abby Reed won one of the highest awards - Honey Horn $200 cash award
Alice Alexander won Juror's Award $50 cash award
Aylin Lopez won Juror's Award $50 cash award (not pictured)
All artwork will be displayed for the next month at the Coastal Discovery Museum where over 10,000 visitors will be able to view it.

Volunteer with Youth Sports!
Bluffton Youth Sports is gearing up for another exciting season of youth baseball and softball, and they're reaching out to see Bobcat students might be interested in a great volunteer opportunity!
As a volunteer-driven 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, they rely on community support to keep things running—especially in the concession stands at Oscar Frazier Park and M.C. Riley Park.
They have weekly shifts available through mid-May, and this is a great way for students to earn service hours while supporting local youth sports. They're happy to provide documentation for public service credit.
Summer Camps with USC
There are some incredible summer camp opportunities provided by University of South Carolina that allow students to explore their interests and passions. The link below is also posted in the grade level google classrooms.

To ensure a safe and secure environment at BCSD athletic events, all spectators and athletes entering our venues will be asked to remove hoods or face coverings that obscure one’s identity, such as balaclava-style masks. This practice, which is common at collegiate athletic events, will help us maintain safety by ensuring individuals can be easily identified if needed.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in creating a safe and welcoming atmosphere for everyone. Please reach out to District Athletic Director Dr. Carlos Cave for any questions.

Club Happenings
President's Council and RMHC
The BLHS President's Council is proud to announce our new partnership with the Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) of the Carolinas. To get our collaboration started, BLHSPC is collecting for the Charleston House's "Wish List" items.
All clubs can contribute, there are (2) ways to do so. First, you can donate any of the items on the "Wish List" form. A collection box will be in the cafeteria next week, or can be brought to Mr. Brown's office on the 3rd Floor. We will collect items until April 11th and will drop off to Charleston over Spring Break.
Another way to participate is by "pulling together" and collecting soda can tabs. RMHC recycles the tabs and that is how they pay the utilities for the house and allow families to stay there for free while their loved ones are being cared for at the surrounding hospital.
Help our clubs and this amazing charity! Tab collection will be ongoing for the rest of the year.
