Dear Oak Brook Families,

Thank you to everyone who helped make Spirit Night a success! From the planners to the participants, it was a great night. We are appreciative of everyone who attended. We hope you had a good time and made some great connections with members of the Oak Brook community.

Please mark your calendars for September 27(see flyer below). From 10-noon on that day, PTO is sponsoring a grounds clean up day here at Oak Brook. More information will be coming soon.

Let's support our Oak Brook Singing Eagles as they get ready to sing at the Cardinal game on Tuesday. Have your student wear Cardinal (or other team shirts) or red on Tuesday!

The PTO is partnering with Fit Body Boot Camp to raise money for Oak Brook through their 28

Day Training Program. So what are the benefits of participating? You get to jump start your

metabolism before the holidays, getting primed for a healthier YOU, while helping US raise

money for Oak Brook Elementary!

Fit Body Boot Camp is donating 100% of all proceeds back to Oak Brook, all while helping

our community be healthier!

Fit Body Boot Camp is an indoor training facility that helps hundreds of local

community members transform their lives every day, including other Oak Brook

parents and family members. They are located just up the street, at 691 Big Bend Road

(intersection at Big Bend and Sulphur Spring Rd).

Included in the program you will receive:

● New Client Welcome Assessment

● Unlimited Access to Boot Camp Sessions

● Body Composition Analysis Scan & Individual Review

● Nutritional Assistance for healthy living

● Private 1-on-1 Goals Strategy Session (30 mins)

● Unlimited support, accountability, motivation, and access to our private coaching page

● 100% of the funds go to support Oak Brook!

If you haven't ordered your tickets for Oak Brook Night at Busch Stadium on September 16th, don't forget to do that. We have a designated number of tickets to sell so our students can experience singing at the stadium. We hope you can join us.

Starting on Sept. 15, The Oak Brook Family Groups of Mrs. Maxey, Mrs. Ryan and Mr. McGuire are doing a Fun Run for St. Louis Children’s Hospital to complete our service learning work. We are collecting money, blankets, coloring books, toys, and books for the children at Children’s Hospital. This project was chosen by our students because the kids at the hospital deserve as much joy and toys as we do. This week we will focus on self-control. We define self-control as thinking before you act and making the right choice. Self-control is one of our community selected core values.

One of the hardest things for children to do is wait patiently when they have something they want to share. The book below My Mouth is a Volcano is a children's book you can view with your child to talk about how to control ourselves when we have something to share.
