Principal's Message Principal's Message

Dear Wall High School Families,

Teacher of the Year & Educational Professional of the Year

We encourage you to consider nominating an outstanding Wall High School teacher and/or educational services professional for the Governor’s Educator of the Year Award. Click here to access the nomination form. All submissions are due to the Main Office by October 13, 2025.

PSAT and YouScience Aptitude & Career Discovery Assessment

On Wednesday, October 22nd, the PSAT will be administered to all sophomores and juniors at Wall High School. While only juniors are eligible to compete for National Merit Scholarships, taking the test as a sophomore provides valuable practice for taking the SAT college entrance assessment.

Freshmen will participate in the YouScience Aptitude & Career Discovery assessment on October 22nd. This engaging tool helps students uncover their unique strengths and interests, guiding them toward potential career paths that fit their skills and passions. We’re proud to support our students as they take this important step in planning their futures and exploring the many opportunities ahead! Please visit the YouScience Parent Page for more information and watch the Student Intro Video, which explains the “why” and the outcomes students can expect.

Seniors will arrive to school on a delayed opening schedule on October 22nd. Upon arriving to school, seniors will participate in an assembly run by the Office of the Monmouth County Clerk titled "Your Vote Matters." Seniors will learn about the importance of voting and how to vote in Monmouth County.

Homecoming Week

Homecoming week begins on Monday, October 6th and concludes with the Homecoming Game on Friday night, October 10th and the Homecoming Dance on Saturday night, October 11th. There are dress up themes each day of the week. Click here for a full schedule of events for the week. Tickets for the Homecoming Dance will be available for purchase for $25 in the cafeteria each day from October 3rd to October 9th. Homecoming Dance Permission Slips must be turned in with the payment.

Thank you,

Mr. Davis

Cell Phone Policy Cell Phone Policy

The Wall High School Cell Phone Policy remains in effect for the 25-26 school year. In order to reduce distractions and disruptions in the classroom and to increase student focus and engagement, each student will be required to place their cell phone in a classroom phone caddy at the beginning of each instructional period when they enter the classroom. The cell phones will remain in the phone caddy until the end of the period. Students may not retrieve phones when going to the bathroom, nurse, guidance, etc.

Students will still be allowed to use their phones during unit lunch. We ask parents and guardians to please use lunch time to message your student (10:20 a.m. to 11:02 a.m.) if you need to contact them during the school day. Any student using a cell phone or having it in plain sight in class or anywhere in school during an instructional period (in route to the bathroom, nurse, guidance, etc.) will have the phone confiscated for the remainder of the day and be disciplined accordingly. Students have been briefed on this policy at the start of the school year, and we appreciate your support.

Message Regarding Doordash, Grubhub, Uber Eats, etc.

Please be advised, WHS will not accept food deliveries from services such as DoorDash, Grubhub, Uber Eats, etc. for students in our school. While we understand the convenience these services provide, they create significant disruptions within our main office. More importantly, allowing outside food/lunch deliveries raises concerns about the safety and security of our students and staff.

Please note: Parents and guardians are still permitted to drop off lunch for students who may have forgotten their meals. However, we ask that you coordinate these drop-offs directly through our main office to ensure a smooth process.

Thank you for your understanding and support as we prioritize the well-being and security of our school community.
