Meet Coral, Oak Crest's very own axolotl! Coral lives in the library, and our students are obsessed! She is named after the queen of the seawing dragons in the Wings of Fire book series. Thank you, Mrs. Hurst, for providing this amazing experience for our students! 🪸

State Testing begins next Tuesday, April 21st. Please ensure your student gets a good night of rest and a healthy breakfast each morning. It is important that your child arrives no later than 8:45 each morning on testing days and stays for the entirety of the day.

Oak Crest Testing Schedule

April 21: 3rd and 4th Grade English/Language Arts

April 22: 3rd and 4th Grade Math

April 23: 5th Grade English/Language Arts

April 28: 5th Grade Math

April 29: 5th Grade Science

April 30: 5th Grade Writing

Please remember that students must be free of fever, vomit, and diarrhea for 24 hours before returning to school.

Check out this AWESOME resource for sight words! Each word can be clicked on and read aloud. There is a sentence for each word that can also be read aloud. There is an audio memory match game for each word list. The words can be shuffled so that students see them in different order. There is also a sentence audio game!

We will have Freckles Friday on April 17th and 24th! Freckles cost just $3 and your child will get to pick from a variety of ice cream choices. Money is due by noon on the Tuesday of each Freckles Friday week.
