The Barber Bulletin 2026 - 2027
Edition #9 (October 19th - October 23rd)
Hello UHMS Families and Staff,
What an amazing day...I had a great one that began with watching some impressive youth football, followed by Valentino's 3rd great soccer game of the weekend, and is wrapping up now after Valentino (10) carved pumpkins with Benicio (19) and his girlfriend, and Luciano (17) just returning from his fall league basketball game. I am grateful for time that at least two of our sons are hanging out together and today was a day when all three were laughing together in the same room.'
And this doesn't mean that my life is great or better or anything...my life is life...challenging, stressful, joyful, tiring, exhilarating, boring, just too much sometimes. I have struggles just like each of you reading this and each of those you love. I love my kids...and Benicio came home with another truck on Friday...he is 19 and has 3 vehicles...but, why? Does he really need this? What kind of judgement is he exercising, if any? I'm 52 and have one with 250k+ miles on it. I think you get my point...Parenting is just so much and impossible to describe. Every child is different. Each relationship is different. It is easy to be hard on yourself and think that you are doing it wrong AND that you are the only one doing it wrong. Have faith - you are not alone! Have patience with yourself and your child, take care of yourself physically (re: food, sleep, hydration) and mentally (i.e. therapy, healthy relationships), and remember that you are important to your children and to me!
There are ONLY 2 DAYS LEFT to order Lyman Orchard Pies & Cookie Dough.
