Two Cold/Snow Days, Two Days of School with a 2-hr delay, who would have guessed?

Not sure about this weather and helping all of us get back to a routine but we will make things work. We know that everyone enjoyed the Buckeye National Championship Game and hopefully our students were productive at home during the other times away. One thing for sure, this activates our a ability to make quick adjustments on the fly and recalculate that curriculum calendar to meet the full needs of our kids. This is just another great reminder to have your students checking PowerSchool and Schoology to stay on top of learning during these times. Let's see what a 5 day week can bring our way next week.

• Monday 1/20/25 was Martin Luther King Jr Day and we will not have school. Special thanks to our MS grade social studies teachers who are planning activities around this monumental influencer in connection with the Youth Service America - MLK Day of Service.
• The Signs of Suicide programming originally scheduled for 1/22 and 1/23 out of 7th grade social studies classes will be postponed until a later date.
• National Junior Honor Society Applications from students will be due on Friday 1/24/25. You can see Mrs. Boening or Mr. Frame with any questions.
• The Student Group and Candid Picture Day is Monday 1/27/25. This is the day when we get our team and activity/club photos.
• The SOAR cart will be rolling on Wednesday 1/29/25.
• Attention 8th grade families - your student's baby picture for the yearbook is due by the end of January. Please see the submission details below.
• 6th and 8th grade students will have the required suicide awareness and prevention programming from House BIll 123 during one standard class period the week of February 3. Additional information to include the opt out form was emailed to 6th and 8th grade families this week. Please check with your student’s school counselor or principal Josh Frame if you have any questions.
• Scheduling information will be available for the 2025-26 school year as we shift to the month of February.
• Attention 8th grade families - Save the Date for the Freshman Scheduling Night will be Monday 2/10/25.
• The next BWMS Parent Teacher Conference Night is Thursday 2/13/25. The sign up will be released next week.

College Credit Plus Annual Notice

Ohio schools are required to provide notice to students and families in grades 6-11 of the opportunity to participate in the College Credit Plus program for the upcoming school year. All students interested in College Credit Plus for the 2025-2026 school year are required to give written notice of the Intent to Participate no later than April 1. Recent legislation requires us to use the Intent to Participate Form developed by the state.
