Welcome Back!
Student Device Update
As we move into the second semester we are implementing a new policy regarding student devices. This policy will begin Monday, January 8, 2024.
Students are expected to come with their school-issued device fully charged each day.
If a student comes to class and their device is not ready for use (not charged or not with them) they will receive a Technology Preparedness Flag. If a student receives three of these flags they will leave their device at school for the remainder of the 9-weeks.
- Students will not receive more than one flag per day.
- If a teacher indicates a student needs to take their device home to complete assignments after they have received 3 flags, an agreement will be made for a specified number of days.
Please help remind and encourage your student to charge their device each night.
MMS Tardy Policy
Our new Tardy Policy will begin Monday, January 8, 2024.
Students must be in their homeroom class by 7:40 in order to be on time to school.
Late bus or other late arrivals must report immediately to the front office.
Tardiness to school: If students arrive late to school, they must have an excuse from a doctor to be excused. Late buses are also excused.
Consequences of continued tardiness are as follows:
3rd Tardy: after school reteach
4th Tardy: In-person parent conference
5th Tardy: in-school suspension
Failure to attend after school reteach will results in an ISS. If a student continues to be tardy the result will be continual in-school suspensions and social probation (i.e. Exclusion from extended day activities, extracurricular activities, class trips, dance, etc.).
