Our elementary students had their first assembly today to celebrate what they've learned about having a Growth Mindset and Perseverance! Check out the photos below of our classroom award winners, our reclassified ELD learners, and our Cheerleaders! During our presentation, a few fourth graders provided a video of their learning. You can watch that in this slide show: LINK

After the assembly, our cheerleaders visited our Kindergarten classes to teach them our ROARS!

Highlights of first ELAC Meeting

Our first English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC) meeting took place on Thursday morning. It was well attended by both new and returning families. Our next meeting will be 11/7/24 at 8 a.m. in Room A14

We discussed the new programs funded by decisions made as a result of input from ELAC attendees at the end of last year.

  • Instructional assistants for ELD in the afternoons.

  • A new curriculum, “EL Achieve”

  • After-school tutoring program serving 20 ELD Newcomer students on M/T/W

We celebrated two 2nd grade students who reclassified out of ELD as “Fluent English Proficient”
