Big Cheer for the New School Year!
August 2023
Goodbye bed...hello school!
- Set a regular bedtime and morning routine.
Prepare backpack/materials, clothes, shoes, etc. the night before.
Have a designated spot for important paperwork to be reviewed and signed.
Turn off electronic devices at least 60 minutes before bedtime to calm the mind.
Set several alarms in case you or your child don't hear the first one!
Keep breakfast simple and healthy for "grab and go" (yogurt, muffin, fruit, breakfast bar, etc.)
Develop backup plans for getting to school if something comes up. Call on a family member, a neighbor or another trusted adult.
Schedule medical and dental appointments when school isn't in session.
Communicate openly with your child's school and seek help from school staff if you need additional support or resources.
Work hard, be kind, and amazing things will happen!
