Pack Parent Newsletter
September 2025
Message from Mr. Rocco
Hello Woodward families- I hope everyone had a nice, long holiday weekend.
We got off to a great start! Our enrollment continues to climb but we would love to see some more Kindergarten friends. If you have any 5 year olds at home or know of anyone with a 5 year old, send them our way and we can get them into school ASAP!
Please be sure we have a current email address and phone number so you continue to receive all of our updates and newsletters.
Starting Tuesday the 2nd, we will start having kids line up INSIDE the school. We will open the doors at 7:50 AM and students will have designated spots in the school to wait for their teacher. Parents will drop off and say their goodbyes outside please.
You're all doing a great job at dismissal with parking on North Street and not blocking the bus lane. I appreciate all of you!
Thanks for being part of our PACK!

Open House
Thursday, September 11th, we will host our Open House. We will start the event in the cafeteria for a Parent/Principal meeting. We will talk about money, goals/plans, and expectations for this year.
Afterwards, you and your student(s) will be going on a scavenger hunt throughout the school!
The event will be held from 5:30 PM to 7 PM.
Hope to see everyone there!
Picture Day
Fall pictures will be September 16th. We will be providing additional information to families as we get closer to that date.
PEEP 1st day!
Oue PEEP students will start on September 8th. If you have a 4 year old and would like to enroll them in school please call the PEEP office at 337-0095
Fastbridge Testing
September begins fall testing season. All students will be taking an online assessment in math and reading. This will helpus identify baseline data for each student. This will guide us in making instructional decisions, intervention schedules, and just gain a general idea of where each student is academically. It will take 2-3 weeks of the month to get through every student.
Woodward Family Handbook-Correct Version
Here is the correct QR code for the Family Handbook.
Cell Phones
Students may bring cell phones to school. Cell phones are not allowed to be out at any point during the school day. Students are to check their phone in with their teacher, where they will be locked in a secure place for the day. Then they will be given back at the end of the day.
As soon as students enter the building phones are to be turned off and put away until given to their teacher.
Any misuse of a cell phone will result in it being taken away until a parent picks it up.
We have phones in every classroom if a student needs to reach you during the day. There are no exceptions to the district policy.
Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
