Harvesting Purpose Festival- Thank you! Harvesting Purpose Festival- Thank you!

Words hardly seem sufficient to express how grateful I am for the generosity, support, and spirit of our community during the Walk-A-Thon and Harvesting Purpose Festival! As our largest fundraiser of the year, the Walk-A-Thon was a tremendous success. Beyond the wonderful programming our students will benefit from, these events offer something just as meaningful: the opportunity to come together, share smiles and laughter, and create lasting memories as a school community.

These celebrations would not be possible without the countless hours of dedication, thoughtful planning, and hard work of our HSO and Walk-A-Thon Committee chairs, along with the generosity of so many families and community members.

I am incredibly proud and honored to serve as the principal of this little school in the woods, where the commitment to our children and their experiences is anything but little; it is truly extraordinary. Thank you for making GW such a special place to learn, grow, and belong.

Chess Club is now open to interested second-grade students! From October through December, second graders will have the opportunity to learn and practice the game of chess during recess one to two times per week. Third graders will have their turn to participate from January through March, with second- and third-grade students coming together for combined chess experiences during April and May. See Mr. Pragdat!

  • We are excited to continue our Halloween Parade tradition this year! The parade will take place on the GW blacktop (See map below) at 9:15 a.m., as it did last year. Please remember that students should arrive at school wearing their costumes. Costumes should be simple enough to remove and store after the parade. The parade is expected to last approximately 25 minutes.
  • Please do not send in any food items to distribute to students.
