We anticipate a large crowd, so arrive early in order to park and make your way to the side soccer field. You may park in the front or back of Griffis. It's going to be a great day!

Connecting the Dots Expo Connecting the Dots Expo

Region 10 is offering a FREE expo to families of students with disabilities.

Connecting the Dots Expos are a series of informational fairs for students with disabilities, their caregivers, and educators as well as vendors who provide services.

The purpose of the fair is to provide information about community-based resources, services, and supports. The fair will offer information and resources available to families such as medical and mental health services, educational support, employment training and support, post-secondary planning, recreational activities, support groups, information on guardianship and supported decision-making, and more.

The day is structured for attendees to have informal access to the variety of vendors participating, as well as attending structured content breakout sessions. Sponsoring districts across the eight-county area of Region 10 ESC in collaboration with the ESC staff provides this free fair in order to connect and support our communities.

No registration is required for students and families.

Golden Griffis Celebration Golden Griffis Celebration

We are excited to start monthly student recognitions with our Golden Griffis Celebrations! Students that are receiving an award for that month will be invited by their child's teacher. These will be quick celebrations right after announcements. We are excited to start this at Griffis this year.

Watch D.O.G.S Program Watch D.O.G.S Program

We are excited to continue this program with Griffis Elementary PTO this coming this year!

The Watch D.O.G.S. Program brings male role models such as dads, stepdads, grandpas, uncles, etc. into the school for the betterment of the school, the students, and the community!!

Are you interested or know someone who may be?

We ask for a commitment of a partial or full school day just ONCE per year! Of course, you can volunteer more often!

For more information visit the website at: https://dadsofgreatstudents.com/

For questions, you may contact our TOP DOG Coordinator: Bram Johnson at Griffiswatchdogs@gmail.com

Thanks for your support, we look forward to seeing you on campus this year!

Caddo Mills ISD Meal Information Caddo Mills ISD Meal Information

The Caddo Mills Independent School District offers a choice of healthy meals each school day. Children may buy breakfast and lunch at each school campus. Children who qualify under U.S. Department of Agriculture guidelines may get meals free or at a reduced price of 40 cents for lunch and 30 cents for breakfast. If a child has a disability, as determined by a doctor, and the disability prevents the child from eating the regular school meal, the school will make substitutions prescribed by the doctor. If a substitution is needed, there will be no extra charge for the meal. The school is not required to make a substitution for a food allergy unless it meets the definition of disability. Please call for additional information at (903) 527-5065.

Counselor Corner Counselor Corner

Each month, we will focus on a particular character trait. Mrs. Wygal will give daily announcements regarding that trait to help the students put it into action. Each month, teachers will be looking for positive referrals from their class that they feel has best demonstrated the monthly trait. The trait for the month of March is Peace. Also, please see the monthly parent newsletter below.
