The Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational is places to bring the LPGA Leadership Academy to the Saginaw Country Club! All girls ages 13-18 with an interest in leadership skills development and golf should check this out. The program dates are June 22-23, 2022 and will be at the Saginaw Country Club on Gratiot. We have two awesome programs for kids and families coming up this week at the library! First, bring your whole family for our Sing-Along Movie Night on Thursday at 5:30pm (message or call to ask for movie title). Then, kids kindergarten-5th grade are invited to attend our Prehistoric Science workshop on Saturday at 10:30am where we will learn about the age of the dinosaurs and become paleontologists for the day!

Seed library is out and ready for our gardeners. We are also sharing that if the seed library is to continue next year, everyone who takes seeds has to remember to harvest seeds at the end of the season and bring then to the library to restock the seeds. We also thank our volunteer Lisa, who continues to do the hard work of finding us seeds, sorting, labeling, and keeping everything in stock so we have seeds to share. The Hemlock Market is looking for some new vendors for this season!

Our market will run from June 16- October 20, Thursdays 4-7 at Richland Township Park. We are interested in local produce farmers (No wholesalers) particularly. Also allowed in the market are cottage food bakers and homemade "products of the land".(for example soap, candles, health and beauty items made by the vendor) We do not allow manufactured items. Join the Swanhaven Manor Retirement Community is having a community rummage sale on April 13th starting at 10:00 am. They will also be selling popcorn for $1 per bag. All proceeds from the popcorn sale and donation table will benefit Old Town Baby Pantry.
