Welcome to EHS AVID
'26-'27 Marking Period 1
AVID 12
Ms. Hapka
I learned to love Physics from my high school physics teacher, Dr. Khan. I enjoyed my undergraduate experience at Loyola. I was able to participate in independent research mentored by one of my Physics professors, Dr. Jones. I played trumpet in the pep band and marched with the Baltimore Colts band at NFL games around the country. During graduate school I did research on the streaming potential of water in granite and studied the material science of rocks and minerals. After graduation I worked for DuPont as a chemical engineer and earned three patents in hazardous waste remediation. I discovered my love of teaching through the training of employees while at DuPont and returned to college to earn my teaching credentials from West Chester University. I have continued my learning journey ever since at numerous colleges and universities around the world. I love teaching and learn something every day from my students!
