Important Notice for 2025–2026 School Year Registration
Students who are NOT registered in Skyward for the 2025–2026 school year will be required to turn in their Chromebooks and chargers.
To avoid turning in your device for the summer, you must be fully registered by May 23rd, please log in to Skyward, click on the Returning Student section, update your information, and submit it as soon as possible. Just a reminder there are no fees next year!
Thank you for your prompt attention! If you have any questions or need assistance please call Mrs. Beckwith @ 630-279-6160
Fire Alarm Update
We are so proud of our Vikings for managing today's fire alarms and getting out of the building safely and effectively. We were due for a fire drill anyway, so we will count this instead. In working with the construction team and fire department, we recognized that the alarm being tripped is one that is now located on the exterior of the building where the demo occurred. You can see this in the photo. There was no dust inside our building, but the work done outside caused the alarm. We are working with our alarm company to figure out why this happened since this alarmed was supposed to be removed. The construction team has been very accommodating and helpful in adjusting their work to support student learning. We apologize for this interruption and are working to resolve the issue for the future.
*Reminder, Door 2 is no longer available for use.
i-Ready Spring Diagnostic Assessment
Albright will be taking the i-Ready Spring Diagnostic over the next two weeks. Students will take this assessment during their math and ELA classes. ELA will start testing on May 6th and math will start on May 13th. We will send results home later in May.
We will start with goal setting on Monday, where we will review their growth over the year. This is a great time for students to show the amazing progress they have made at Albright.
Congratulations to two outstanding 8th graders!
Congrats to Josie and William for being recognized by the Illinois Principal's Association at Monday's Student Recognition Breakfast. This celebration happens each year, and our 8th Grade Team selects two winners for their positive contribution to Albright Middle School.
We have so many fun things happening!
Albright's 7th grade boys volleyball team earned us our 4th Conference Championship this year! It's a great time to be a Viking!!!
Summer Chromebook Use
Salt Creek School District 48 all district-issued Chromebooks (and chargers) go home with students for summer use. All Chromebook activity will continue to be filtered and logged. However, the District will not be actively monitoring the activity until school resumes and students will only be allowed to access district approved educational materials. This only applies to students in grades 1 through 7 who are fully registered for the 25-26 school year. Summer technology will not be an option for our current kindergarten students, as those Chromebooks remain in Kindergarten each year.
We will not be able to do repairs throughout the summer, so if your child's device has any issues during this time, please email their school's administrative assistant and principal. We can work together on a solution that works best for you.
If you would like to opt-out of having your child keep their device for the summer, please email Gerrie Aulisa at gaulisa@saltcreek48.org. If no response is received, and your child is fully registered, then your child will be sent home with their Chromebook.
