Recycling Program Recycling Program

zoom_out_map
Cowan is happy to be partnering with the Muncie Sanitary District and their recycling program as of this school year. CES will now have classroom bins for mixed recycling so that our trash can go on to become new materials. According to the MSD, "Recycling turns materials that would otherwise become waste into valuable resources. In addition, it generates a host of environmental, financial, and social benefits. Materials like glass, metal, plastics, and paper are collected, separated, and sent to facilities that can process them into new materials or products". Our staff will work alongside our students to ensure that our trash can be sorted accordingly and help make a positive impact on our community and planet.

Our dumpster will be accepting CLEAN paper, cardboard, plastic jars/jugs, aluminum, steel, tin cans, and glass. Non-recyclables such as plastic bags/wraps, cords, hoses, chains, batteries, electronics, and food/liquid can't be accepted by the recycling program.

Children's Clothing Center of Delaware County Children's Clothing Center of Delaware County

The Children’s Clothing Center of Delaware County, Inc., offers new and used clothing to Delaware County students in need. If you are interested, please contact the elementary office for a referral from the principal. The referral can then be completed and taken to the center. Hours of operation are listed on the referral form.
