In the news . . .
Progress continues with career connected learning experiences both in and out of the classroom for students at Bucyrus City Schools, as skills-based and career-driven education works to assist students to find their own True North.
District stakeholders and community-based employers collaborate to identify and align what needs are present in the local workforce with what students are learning, and together work on the best early introduction to build these skills and interests.

Additionally, OSU-Mansfield Engineering Club students were able to scale down the manufacturing process with the help of Legos to help teach BMS students to learn about teamwork, efficiency, quality control and even problem-solving and continuous improvement practices used in today’s manufacturing industries.
Bucyrus Staff training expands to include experiences and skills that feed into the high-demand industry of health care and highlights relationships with local employers like AVITA. Teachers focused on a full spectrum of careers that make up the entire healthcare industry, not just direct patient care.

Principal's Message
Dear Bucyrus High School Families,
October was full of fun, excitement, and hands-on learning at Bucyrus High School! We kicked things off with a successful Homecoming Dance, where students enjoyed a night of great music and memories with friends.
We also hosted our first Student of the Month celebration for the 2025–26 school year. It was wonderful to see families join us as we recognized our students' hard work and achievements.
Our Sophomore class had an incredible opportunity to attend Crawford County Manufacturing Day, where they toured several local businesses, including TRAMEC, Crawford Success Center, Forge Fire, Galion LLC, and TIMKEN. This experience aligns perfectly with our district's True North mission - Navigating students to career success. Students engaged directly with industry professionals, learned about their products and services, career options, asked thoughtful questions, and participated in hands-on activities such as designing and assembling product prototypes. It was an invaluable, interactive learning experience.
In addition, many students earned PBIS rewards for outstanding attendance, GPA improvement, positive behavior, and overall academic excellence during the first quarter. These students celebrated by participating in fun, student-choice activities at the Fall Festival, organized by our PBIS committee to honor their dedication and success.
Finally, thank you for your continued partnership and support. Your involvement is vital to your student's success, and we couldn't do it without you.
Have a great day, and as always - Go RED!
