A NOTE FROM MRS. B
Howdy Bronco Family! Wow the hustle and bustle of the last couple of months of school is upon us. STAAR testing is right around the corner. End-of-the-year activities are being scheduled. Students are involved in things outside of school. I know we all feel like we are being pulled in different directions and often wonder how everything will be accomplished. I love the hustle and bustle of this time of the year. Seeing the students prepared and ready to test, excited about field trips and other events, but still working hard as ever and having some fun. Even though this a crazy, busy time, this year will be over before we know it! There is a sense of wanting time to slow down because I want to savor each and every moment of this school year, but I am so excited to watch every student move to the next chapter of their lives when May 25th arrives.
Remember, you can always find the latest Meadow ISD news on the MISD website and Facebook page, so go check them out! Also, check your kiddo’s backpack and folders for any important paper notes that may have gone home.
Don’t forget to contact your child’s teacher if you have any questions about what is going on in the classroom. We are always here to help.
It’s ALWAYS great to be a Bronco!

Reminders... The countdown is ON! We got this! I am so proud of the students hard work this year and I can't wait for them to put it on display in two weeks.
- No spelling list will go home this week. We will take a pause on spelling tests for the next two weeks to focus on reading library books and getting rest each night. We will pick back up after STAAR.
- Reading STAAR test is on Tuesday, April 18th. Please send your child to school with a jacket and water bottle, along with their normal belongings. I want them to be comfortable on test day.
- Students must read at least 20 minutes each night. We have BIG AR goals to meet this 9 weeks. We should have a lot more students meeting their goals!
- Let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
Thank you for all you do!
Jenna Wesley
Recordatorios...

4th & 5th Grade Math
-We are still reviewing for the STAAR test in 4th grade AND 5th grade.
-Please parents, I need your child in class every day, as we review for the STAAR test. I start with math concepts from the very beginning of the school year until we get to Data Analysis which was the last concept we worked on. Some students need to go over some of the math concepts, especially if the student was absent or just did not understand certain math concepts the first time around.
-I still need students to practice their math facts every night for 5 to 10 minutes. I have students who would rather skip the problem or answer whatever than to count and try to figure out the multiplication math facts inside the 2 digit by 2 digit problem or just simplifying fractions.
-Thank you for your cooperation. Stacy Gamez

5TH GRADE
5th Grade Rad Readers & Social Studies Scholars:
In RLA, we are reviewing to prepare for our STAAR test!
The Reading STAAR is only 9 school days away! I know the students are prepared and I fully believe in their abilities to do well on this test! We are going over the multiple genres we have covered throughout this year.
In Social Studies, we are on the Oregon Trail, moving west! We are learning about westward expansion and the idea of Manifest Destiny. I'm looking forward to the next few days and weeks as we begin to move into learning about the Civil War and how the United States has changed throughout the years.
Please make sure your child is at school every day. If your child is going to be out, please let me and Mrs. Sandy know. It is so important for your child to be here every day. Each day they are out, they are missing crucial information they need for their STAAR test.
Vocabulary test over the Greek & Latin roots & affixes is on Tuesday! Be sure to study with your child!
To get ready for the STAAR test, we are having a little spirit week to gear the kids up and get them excited to show their hard work on the day of the test. We would love to see all the students participate!
