Important Information
Only 3 weeks left (2 for seniors) -- not much time to turn in work.
Chromebook & Charger returns. -- Chromebooks will need to be turned in after the last test. If not turned in, their account will be charged $100 for the Chromebook and $25 for the chargers.
Name labels were put on ALL Chromebooks and chargers when they were signed out in August. Chromebooks will be scanned when turned in, and given credit to whoever it was originally checked out to. I recommend that students verify with the bookstore that their current Chromebook is theirs.
Final Exam schedule is posted at the bottom of this email. Early exams will only be permitted if a student is moving. You can email Mrs. Shay to make arrangements if your child will miss finals.
Registration --If you have a returning student for the 26-27 school year, they will need to be registered. The district has information about that online and has sent out emails with links.
Summer school sign-ups -- Summer school will go from June 1st to June 30th (June 19 is a holiday, no school). Incoming Seniors and Juniors will have first priority for summer school classes, and then we will look at incoming Sophomores.
Counselors are looking at students who would greatly benefit from summer school; however, if you would like to ensure they have a slot, please fill out the following form.
We will only have 4 teachers dedicated to Summer school this summer. If your child is not showing up on time or at all, they will be dropped so we can get another student in their place. If your child is exhibiting a behavior issue or brings items not allowed in school, they will not be permitted to continue. Summer school is not a place to hang out with friends. If that is how it is being treated, we'll need to drop students so we can enroll those who are serious about making up credit.
Flex Path Sign Ups -- If you are interested in our Flexible, Online program, please fill out the form to be considered. If you have questions about the program, you can reach out to Christina.calentine@alamogordoschools.org or Christina.huerta@alamogordoschools.org.
If you are already a Flex Path student and you would like to continue, Mrs. Wisecup has sent you that form through email already.
Algebra 1 re-do -- If your freshman was not successful in Algebra 1 this year and was not able to get into summer school, we will be adding them back to Algebra 1 instead of Geometry. Algebra 1 is vital to success and understanding as students move forward in math classes. This will result in Junior year, students doubling up in both Geometry and Algebra 2. Freshman summer school will be based on those who only have a semester instead of the full year to make up.
SAT Scores -- Juniors can access their SAT scores from their College Board accounts
Senior Information
- Below you find a link for the Senior Letter that was discussed with Seniors at our Senior Meeting. This document has all the important dates and information leading up to and including Graduation. If you have any questions, emailing me is the best way to get those answered. If you would like a paper copy of any of the documents, we will have extra printed documents with our ladies at the front windows.
- The other two documents that seniors need to have parents and themselves sign and turn in. One list has them checking for fees owed, and another states that they will act accordingly at graduation.
- If students show up to Graduation practice or graduation impaired in any way, they will not be permitted to walk at graduation with their friends. They will still receive their diploma; however, their name will be removed from the graduation lineup.
- Final Transcripts will not be available until the second week after Graduation.
