We're excited to welcome the Class of 2029 and our new transfer students to the Viking Family! Your first day of school and orientation is Wednesday, August 13th from 7:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. HF New Family Orientation will also be on Wednesday, August 13th, at 7 p.m. in the Mall Auditorium (South Building). See the below New Student Orientation and New Family Orientation letters for full details. Note: The first day of school for the entire student body is Thursday, August 14th.

Did you miss Book & Tech Material Pick-up? HF will host a makeup day on Tuesday, August 12th from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. in the South Building (enter Door 1 off Kedzie Ave). Note: Residency must be cleared before picking up materials. For Transfer Students (new to HF), email Mrs. Davis (andavis@hf233.org) and Mr. Schmidt (jjschmidt@hf233.org) to schedule an intake appointment.

Residency Office Hours will be:

Monday, 8/11 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Tuesday, 8/12 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Wednesday, 8/13 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

HF and Quest Food Management Services has partnered with My MealTime, a fast, secure online service for making credit or debit card deposits and monitoring your student’s lunch account. Learn more about navigating My MealTime here.

The Fall Sports Season begins on August 11, 2025. The following sports are included in the Fall Season: Boys' Cross Country, Girls' Cross Country, Cheerleading (Sideline), Dance (Sideline), Girls' Flag Football, Football, Boys' Golf, Girls' Golf, Boys' Soccer, Girls' Swimming and Diving, Girls' Tennis, and Girls' Volleyball.

Physical Examination Forms must be on file in the Athletic Department Office (North Building) by August 10, 2025 in order to participate. If you cannot get a physical by August 10th, we are hosting exams on August 11th from 7-9 a.m. in the North Building. The fee is $30.00. No appointment necessary. Physical Examination Forms can be submitted at the Security Desk in the North Building (Enter Door A) or sent via email to dkorth@hf233.org. Please note: The Physical Exam/Vaccination Report required for Incoming Freshmen can be used to participate in athletics.

Student-athletes interested in participating must be registered on the Snap Dashboard. Please review the Fall Sports Opening Days link in the "Resource" section for the locations and start times for the first few days of practices/tryouts. We look forward to an enjoyable season--go Vikings!

Homewood-Flossmoor High School and Honest Game have partnered to provide students and families with an easy-to-use College Athletic Pathway software and additional educational resources. We know that accessing scholarships and college athletics requires not only a commitment to athletic training and competition but also a commitment to academic success.
