Berlin Bobcat Beat
October 30, 2026
Notes from Mrs. G
Dear Bobcat Community,
We had a very FULL week here at Berlin Elementary School. I wanted to send a HUGE thank you to the PTNA and to you all as a community for supporting the Fall Festival here at BES. It's a very special event.and I'm grateful to all you come to support it!
We capped off the end of our week with an All School Meeting and a whole school celebration. We earned an extra recess! The students earn paws by showing expected behaviors of Safe, Respectful and Ready. Once the tubes get filled we then get to celebrate!
Next Friday we will have our first Den Group meeting! Here's a little info about Den Groups at Berlin Elementary School.
What is a Den Group?
A Den Group is a small, mixed-age group of students who are paired with an adult in the building.
What's the goal of Den Group?
Den Groups are created to build community, connection and belonging in our building. We aim to have student paired with the same Den Group leader/group for their tenure at BES.
How often to Den Groups meet?
Den Groups will meet about once a month.
What do students do in Den Group?
This year Den groups will mostly engage in circle round prompts. Student will get together and participate in a community building exercise. Sometime we also meet in Den Groups for whole school activities.
Both staff and students are participating in similar group structures. I will share more about the process of circle prompts/rounds in next week's post.

π MyRide App π
Don't wait until the first snow!
Download the MyRide app today so you stay informed all season long!
If your student uses school transportation, please make sure you have downloaded the βMyRideβ app. We use this app to send out messages, notifications, and alerts for buses running late, late starts, route changes, etc. MyRide is currently our only means of communication around all things bus related. With winter just around the corner, we want to make sure our caregivers are receiving bus notifications in real time.
INSTRUCTIONS: MyRide: View the MyRide flyer website app.pdf to get started.
ENABLE PHONE NOTIFICATIONS: Turn on pop-up or lock-screen notifications in your phone's settings so real-time updates appear right on your screen!
