Math
7th grade math scholars just finished their first week of geometry that focused on radius, diameter, circumference and area. Next week we will work on volume of cylinders, right rectangular prisms and story problems. Reminders: homework is given every Monday and is due on Thursday and Vimme tests are on Thursdays of each week.
In 8th grade math, we are in week 21 of the Vimme Learning curriculum. This week our skill is volume in story problems. Our test on this skill is Thursday, with retakes on Friday. Last week we learned about volume of 3D shapes (cones, pyramids and spheres). My 4th period class had the highest average score on the week 20 test. Congrats to those scholars! We are currently preparing for our ILEARN Math Checkpoint 3, which scholars will take at the beginning of March.
