🚨New Staff Spotlight🚨
Ali Aiken is so excited to be teaching art at Franconia for the first half of this year!
This is her 14th year teaching art and her 10th in Souderton. Mrs.Aiken loves to make any art or craft that she can find time for. She has two children that she often talks into making alongside her!
Inclusion Corner
As we kick off a wonderful new school year, you might notice an exciting addition to our playground! We are thrilled to introduce our new playground communication board. This accessible tool gives Franconia students an easy way to express their needs, share feelings, and connect with peers during recess. We are so grateful to have this resource available for our school and community, and we extend a special thank you to Dr. Heineck and Mr. Urich for making it possible!
Warmly,
Mrs. Algeo & Mrs. Kinney, Franconia's Friendly Speech & Language Pathologists
Home & School Association
A New Chapter for Our Home and School Association
Dear Families,
As we begin a new school year, we wanted to introduce ourselves and share a little about our Home and School Association. Our previous Home & School board has moved on to the Middle School, leaving one board member remaining. A small group of committed parents have formed a new board, and we are working quickly to get everything up and running. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we learn and grow in this role.
Our Home and School Association helps make many special experiences and opportunities possible, including:
Back to School Bash, Book Blasts, Classroom socials, Math 24 Club, Reading Olympics, classroom grants for teachers, Franconia yearbook, teacher appreciation meals, field trip funds, fifth grade celebration, Lip Sync, and more!
These programs and events don’t happen without the time, effort, and support of our school families. Many hands make light work! We understand that not everyone has the time to serve on the board or take on a major role, and we are not asking everyone to do that. Whether you can volunteer at one event, help behind the scenes, or join a committee, every contribution matters. We want our children to have a meaningful elementary school experience, our teachers and staff to feel appreciated, and our school to continue growing as a strong community, but we cannot do it alone.
If you are interested in getting involved, we will send out additional Signup Genius links throughout the year for other events and opportunities.
Click here to join our email list and receive a personal invitation to our upcoming Home and School meetings.
Thank you for considering how you can be part of this new chapter. We are excited about the year ahead!
Warmly,
Your Home and School Association Board
