Panorama Student Check-In
During the week of September 11th-15th, your student will be taking part in a 6 question student check in on our Panorama platform. The Panorama platform allows us to survey students, families and staff about school culture and social emotional competencies.
Our motto for this year is "Connect, Belong, Grow." The data from our check-ins and more formal surveys will help us meet these goals. As partners in the learning environment, you can help us by participating in the family surveys that will be sent out this year. We want to hear your voice. You are a valued member of the Snowline Community and your feedback will only help us strengthen our connections, increase belonging in the community and grow more than we ever thought possible.
Watch the attached video to learn more about how we will use Panorama this year.
Attendance Matters!
Chronically absent students miss 10% or more of the school year. This equals only 2 days per month and includes EXCUSED absences. Here are some statistics on the effects of chronic absenteeism:
- Only 17% of students who missed 18 or more days in K and 1st grade can read at grade level by 3rd grade.
- Students who don't read at grade level by 3rd grade are 4x more likely to drop out of school before graduation.
- Highschool drop outs earn $10,000 less per year than high school graduates and $36,000 less per year than college graduates.
Attendance Matters, not just for your student, but for those around them. When students are absent, they miss out on opportunities to collaborate and learn from others and others miss out on the opportunity to collaborate and learn from them.
Contact Mrs. O'Leary or Mr. Scribner in the SIA Office if you need support in getting your child to school. They can be reached at (760) 868-5817 at extension 10143.
