From the Principal's Den
May 2026
Mayville MS/HS
One of our goals is to continue building a school experience where every student feels connected, engaged, and excited to belong. While academics are always our foundation, extracurricular opportunities play an important role in helping students explore interests, build confidence, and form meaningful relationships.
Recently, we surveyed our students in grades 5–11 about the types of clubs they would like to see offered during the 2026–27 school year. Their top areas of interest included:
- outdoor activities (gardening, fishing, etc.)
- sports & fitness (intramurals, weightlifting, etc.)
- life skills (cooking, home and car maintenance, etc.)
- gaming (video games, esports, and board games)
- arts (drawing, painting, crafts)
- adventure-based experiences (hiking, traveling, and exploration)
- drama/theater
- service (Peer2Peer, leadership, volunteer work)
We are excited about the potential to expand opportunities in these areas—and we would love your help to make it happen. Clubs would meet a minimum of eight times throughout the school year, and we are looking for parents, family members, and community partners who may be interested in helping lead, support, or share ideas for a club.
If you have an interest, expertise, or even just a willingness to help create meaningful experiences for students, please reach out to me. Whether you’re ready to jump in or simply have a suggestion, your involvement can make a lasting impact.
Thank you for your continued support in helping us create a well-rounded and engaging school experience for all students.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Jenna Tetil
Mayville MS/HS Principal
Chromebook Turn In
- This year, students will turn in Chromebooks after their last exam, or last class, whichever is later. This will allow us to take inventory, clean, and make repairs/updates prior to kids returning.
